Origin Of The Churches Of Christ

This is not an "anti-Church of Christ" site. I was reared in the Church of Christ and have been preaching in the Church of Christ since 1968. My desire is that we walk righteously before God, not according to traditions of men.  Below is a copy of a page from the 1916 U.S. census record that shows when and why the Churches of Christ formed by splitting from the Disciples of Christ in 1906.  The file is large and loads slowly, so please be patient.  Bernie Parsons January 11, 2002
